Entries for the Tatiara Art Prize are now open. Held every two years, the $10,000 acquisitive prize invites submissions of new or recent work wall-based work by Australian artists.

These annual scholarships enable Australian artists to develop their artistic capacities and skills through a dedicated period of practice-based learning, over twelve months spent overseas.

MURRAYLANDS SKILLS CENTRE

The Murraylands Skills Centre provides a platform for businesses and individuals to thrive and connect.

The Centre offers free 1:1 support to community members looking to upskill or re-skill to identify vocational education training pathways and enter into training to propel their career. The Centre also offers a dynamic co-working space, expert resources, networking opportunities and seamless access to Council services.

Preventative Health SA:
2025-26 Suicide Prevention Community Grants

Applications close 31 October 2025

Grants of $5000 are available to eligible community groups and sporting clubs, and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, across South Australia.

The focus of the grants is suicide postvention preparedness with the aim of enhancing community support, coordination, and response following traumatic incidents, including suicide.

Council Grants

The Rural City of Murray Bridge grants program offers a variety of  funding opportunities that support community organisations and individuals deliver a range of projects, programs, events and activities.

CARCLEW:
Carclew Funding and Awards Program

Carclew offers a range of funding opportunities for young people aged 26 or under, including fellowships, capacity building grants, and project & development grants.

CreateSA:
Arts and Culture Grants

CreateSA connects the arts and culture sector in South Australia with financial support for a range of activities.

Grants include Richard Llewellyn Deaf and Disability grants, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander grants, and grants for artist individuals, groups and small-to-medium arts and culture organisations.

Country Arts SA:
Grants

Grants are available, through Country Arts SA, to support arts and cultural activities in regional South Australia that are sustainable, have long term cultural, economic and social benefits, develop partnerships and cultural networks and provide skills development opportunities.

Grants include Artist Professional Development Grants and Quick Response Grants.

Creative Australia:
investments & Opportunities

Creative Australia is the Australian Government’s principal arts investment and advisory body. They offer a range of opportunities, including grants, scholarships and residency programs.

Bridge Arts is an eclectic community of local artists. They host regular gatherings, monthly workshops, and hold exhibitions 2-3 times a year.

New members are always welcome.

Murray Bridge Hand Spinners & Weavers Guild are an active group whose skills include spinning, weaving, dyeing, felting, knitting and crocheting. They host meetups weekly and have market stalls at various events.

The Shed is a place of peace and friendship where men of all ages can pursue and share hobbies, pastimes and interests to contribute to the community.

The Community Centre is a place where you can connect with people, learn new skills and achieve personal growth in a safe and welcoming environment.

They offer a range of services from short courses, social events, community garden and activities as well as assistance with mental health, legal or financial matters and support if you are experiencing homelessness or domestic violence.

MURRAY BRIDGE LIBRARY

The Library service is free and everyone is welcome to join. Facilities and services include public computer access, free Wi-Fi, ebooks & audiobooks, meeting rooms, photocopying & scanning and online resources. The library hosts a range of events and small groups, such as the yarn group and photography club. The library also runs programming for children, include school holidays arts activities.

CreateSA, located within the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, leads South Australia’s strategic agenda across the arts, cultural and creative sectors.

They support and advise the Minister for the Arts and manage the South Australian Government's funding to artists and arts organisations. They also support the development and maintenance of the State's cultural heritage collection and recognise and promote the strengths and needs of the State's makers, presenters and collectors of art and cultural heritage.
