Originally from a remote community on Gayiri land, Central Qld, Sam relocated to Kaurna land, Adelaide, where she runs a mixed medium practice from her studio ‘Butter and Gravy’. She holds a Masters of Architecture from UniSA, where she began working with the ‘Design Construct Program’. She has a passion for process and industrious practice through connection to communities, design, construction, logistics, fabrication and material. Her expanded portfolio includes contemporary art in pursuit of material language and experimentation, through which she continues to explore the intersections between people, spaces, places, bodies and objects that form the phenomena of our experience and our collective contributions.
