Eco-Friendly Etching Workshop with Hanah Williams

Join artist Hanah Williams in this hands-on workshop, where you will learn how to design and print an image etched into metal onto paper.

Using a range of etching techniques, you will create an etching utilising fine lines and texture. Discover the possibilities that etching has and how it can be used in your own practice. You will take home a collection of prints on cotton paper, an etching plate, and the skills to continue etching in your own studio.

This workshop is eco-friendly and uses the latest research in printmaking processes. 

All printmaking materials included. We ask participants to please bring the following items:

  • an apron or protective shirt

  • wear enclosed shoes 

  • a folder or bag to take prints home in 

  • an idea/design utilising line work

  • rubber gloves

About the Artist

Hanah Williams is a print-based artist and educator. Her work delves into the realms of dreams, folklore and mythology, and the human connection to the natural world. Hanah has worked as a printmaking educator in the university sector for eight years and also teaches printmaking workshops throughout Adelaide and regional South Australia.
