That Old Stuff presents tender portraits of humble household white enamelware - objects whose unsophisticated, unadorned beauty belies the resilience and complex realities of their form and function.
Lingering residues, chips and rust on this ‘old stuff’, are what connect regional SA artist Lyn Wood to the lived experiences and repetitive rituals that gave meaning to the domestic life of her grandparents.
Lyn Wood is a celebrated SA regional-based artist with a strong connection to the Murray River and its surrounds. Since 2009, her work has featured in solo and group exhibitions in regional SA and Vic, Adelaide and Perth. She is a three-time Category Winner Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize and a Finalist in The Fleurieu Peninsula, Biennale.
