A Passion for Flowers
A Carrick Hill Exhibition
Main Gallery
24th Sep, 2010 to 16th Oct, 2010

The exhibition explores Ursula Hayward's passion for flowers which she pursued throughout her life. This expressed itself through collecting floral art by major Australian and European artists, as well as cultivating her favourite flowers in the wonderful garden she created at Carrick Hill. She also gathered and arranged them to decorate the interior of Sir Edward and Lady Hayward's glamorous home in the foothills of Adelaide at Springfield.

The exhibition will include works by artist such as: Stanley Spencer, Paul Nash, Pierre-Joseph Redoute, Nora Heysen and Adrian Feint. Contemporary photos and historic prints will be included to give a portrait of the garden and its plants.
